As part of their press tour to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijani media representatives toured the Center for Media Content Development under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan on August 18.
A delegation of 20 representatives from leading Azerbaijani media organizations is participating in the tour.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani journalists familiarized themselves with the Center's activities, as well as state-led projects focused on media content development, social networks, and digital platforms. They also learned about initiatives to advance the media sector, enhance journalists' professional qualifications, and promote Uzbekistan's international image.
Participants were briefed on the projects and initiatives implemented by the Center. Highlights included presentations on Media Start, Debut and Fikrlab projects, the “Aura.uz” platform, as well as educational programs on mobile journalism, SMM and modern digital communications.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani media representatives also met with heads of leading media organizations of Uzbekistan.
Jahongir Abdurakhmonov, Deputy Director of the Center for Media Content Development, highlighted the Center's acitivty, noting that the state institution was established in July 2025 on the basis of the Presidential Administration's press service media center.
He said that the inaugural Tashkent Content Market 2027 will take place on February 4–5, 2027, at the National Exhibition Company Uzexpocentre, bringing together cinema, television, animation, and digital media representatives from more than 50 countries.
The discussion focused on expanding media cooperation between the two countries, launching joint media projects, sharing professional experience, as well as collaborative content. Following the discussions, Jahongir Abdurakhmonov invited Azerbaijani representatives to participate in the upcoming Tashkent Content Market 2027.
