“Since Azerbaijan became a member of the World Bank, approximately $4.9 billion in financing has been allocated for a total of 53 projects within the framework of the partnership.” This was stated during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and a delegation headed by Roland Price, the World Bank’s Regional Director for the South Caucasus, and Sasha Bakes, the Bank’s newly appointed Country Manager for Azerbaijan.
